Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 September 2026 · Applies to justgigs.app and the JustGigs appsThis policy explains what personal information Just Gigs collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, write to storm@justgigs.app and we will explain it.
Who we are
Just Gigs is a micro enterprise registered in Maharashtra, India (Udyam registration MH-18-0417436), operating from A/4 33, Vashi Plaza, Sector 17, Off Sion Panvel Highway, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400703.
Where this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Just Gigs.
What this policy covers
Three things:
- justgigs.app, this website
- The JustGigs Gigger app, for people who work shifts through us
- The JustGigs Company app, for businesses who book staff
What we collect
What you give us
- Your name and mobile number. The mobile number is how you sign in — there is no password.
- Your email address, if you give us one.
- A profile photo, if you add one. Companies may also add a brand logo.
- Your date of birth and gender, for gig workers, because some venues have age requirements for certain roles.
- Your addresses — where you live, for gig workers, so we can show you work near you; and your outlet addresses, for companies.
- Your bank account details, for gig workers only, so we can pay you. This is your account number, IFSC code and the name on the account.
- Anything you write to us in a support conversation.
What we record as you use the apps
- Your work history — the gigs you applied to, the shifts you worked, hours, attendance, no-shows and ratings.
- Check-in and check-out times, recorded when a QR code is scanned on site.
- Payments — what a company was billed, what a worker was paid, and the fees involved.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your device’s location. The apps have no access to your phone’s GPS and never ask for it. When you search for an outlet address, you are typing into a search box — we store the address you choose, not where you were standing.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data to anybody.
What the apps ask permission for
- Camera — only to scan a worker’s QR code at check-in and check-out. The app reads the code and does not keep a photograph.
- Photos — only when you choose a profile picture or a company logo, so you can pick one from your phone.
You can refuse both. The rest of the app carries on working.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account, and to sign you in
- To match gig workers with shifts, and to show companies who has applied
- To record attendance and work out what is owed
- To pay gig workers and invoice companies
- To answer you when you contact support
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal obligations
Who else sees it
Other people on the platform
JustGigs only works because the two sides of a shift can see each other. So:
- A company booking staff sees an applicant’s name, photo, work history summary, attendance rate and rating — and, once booked, their mobile number, so the venue can reach them on the day.
- A gig worker sees the company name, the venue, and the contact details of the manager or team leader they report to.
- A team leader sees their teammates’ names, photos and mobile numbers for that gig only.
If you do not want a company to see your details, do not apply to their gig.
Companies that process data for us
We use these services to run JustGigs. Each sees only what it needs to do its job.
| Service | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosts our database, accounts and files | All account and shift data |
| Meta (WhatsApp) | Sends your login code, shift updates and support replies | Your mobile number and the message |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Helps our team draft and tidy support replies | The text of your support conversation |
| Bulkpe | Pays gig workers into their bank accounts | Name, bank account details, amount |
| Cashfree | Collects payments from companies | Company billing details and amount |
| Loops | Sends transactional email | Email address and the message |
| Expo | Delivers push notifications | A device token, not your identity |
| Powers address search when adding an outlet | The text you type into the search box | |
| Vercel | Hosts this website | Standard web request information |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
When the law requires it
We will share information if we are legally required to — a court order, a tax authority, or a police investigation.
Where your data is stored
Our database is hosted by Supabase. Some of the services above process data on servers outside India. By using JustGigs you agree to your information being handled this way.
How long we keep it
If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and personal details. Some records have to stay:
- Invoices, payment records and completed shift records — 8 years. Income tax rules require six years of books; we keep ours for eight.
- Anything involved in an open dispute or investigation — until it is resolved.
Full detail, including how to ask, is on our account deletion page.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong — most of it you can edit yourself in the app
- Delete your account and personal data — see how to do that
- Explain anything in this policy
Write to storm@justgigs.app or message us on WhatsApp. We will respond within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
Everything sent between the apps and our servers travels over an encrypted connection, and our database provider encrypts data at rest. Access to personal data inside the company is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. We are continuing to tighten how data is protected, and if a breach ever affects you we will tell you.
Children
JustGigs is for adults doing paid work. You must be 18 or over to use it. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
